Paper Tiger
I recently had the privilege of working on Paper Tiger, a dystopian sci-fi short film directed by the talented Eden Quinn Jones. This project was the graduating film from the Arts University of Bournemouth, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From day one, it was clear how much passion and talent this crew brought to the table.
Eden’s vision for the film was incredibly detailed and ambitious, pushing boundaries both creatively and technically.
The ensemble cast was equally inspiring—every actor brought depth and nuance to their roles, creating a powerful and emotionally resonant story set in a strikingly imagined future world.
What truly set Paper Tiger apart, however, were its stunning special effects and design work. For a student film, the scale and quality of the visuals were remarkable, showing a level of craftsmanship you’d expect from a fully established production company. The dedication and creativity of every single crew member were evident in every frame.
Last week, Paper Tiger had its screening at the BFI, and seeing the final product on the big screen was a thrilling moment. It’s a testament to what can be achieved when emerging filmmakers are given the freedom to dream big and execute with passion.

This was a wonderful experience to be part of, and I can’t wait to see where Eden and this incredible team go next—because if Paper Tiger is anything to go by, the future looks very bright indeed.
