A Comedy Pilot with a Nostalgic Twist
God’s Arrows
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve recently wrapped on God’s Arrows, a brand-new short film that’s currently in post-production—and from the previews we’ve seen, it’s looking fantastic. This project has been an absolute joy to work on. The production team and writer are hugely creative, taking inspiration from the golden era of British comedy in the 1970s and 1980s.
Think the irreverent humour, eccentric characters, and playful spirit of that period—but brought firmly into today’s world.
The result? Larger-than-life characters, razor-sharp comedy, and a story that feels both nostalgic and fresh.

What’s especially exciting is that this short film is designed as a pilot for a larger series—and if the energy on set is anything to go by, it’s going to be very, very funny. I’m proud to have been a part of such a lively and imaginative team and can’t wait for people to see what we’ve created.
From nostalgic British humour to brand-new characters—God’s Arrows promises some seriously funny arrows indeed.

Working with Charles
“You really were our perfect Joe. Your performance was so on point, you beautifully delivered a very complex character arc. We see so many layers within the version of Joe you have brought to the screen. His humanity, his guilt , his arrogance , his fear. Everything is portrayed with such subtlety but translates so effectively!
I am so thrilled that we cast you. You were an absolute pleasure to work with, fantastic to creatively bounce off of , and I am just so glad that you understood the character so deeply. You are a gifted actor.”
